Nerdz of a Feather is a monthly webcomic. It’s a heartfelt love letter to geek culture. It’s a warm, virtual hug to those friends who transcend to become family. And it’s an unabashed celebration of our home, New York City — its glorious highs and its gritty lows.

Here’s something else you might want to know. I’m just trying to see if actually getting to three hundred words actually makes a significant difference in the SEO rating for this page. Hard to say right now. I mean, webcomic, because that’s the keyword we’re trying to squeeze in naturally.

Oh, did I mention that having external links is important? I mean, we’ll be internally linking to the most recent comic from the main image. Seriously!? We’re still only “OK”. Give me the greenlight you stubborn SEO bastards!

Fine. Let’s keep going. Ideally, this area will explain the motivation for the comic, its evolution and what role it plays in the modern zeitgeist. Oh, look at that, I spelled zeitgeist correctly on my first try. This is really only about half of what’s needed to get to that magic three hundred. Did I mention that this is a webcomic. Maybe we’ll talk about why we love webcomics, or influences from other sites or graphic novels. That could be helpful.

Speaking of helpful, I’ve gone about 15 years working on WordPress sites and this is literally the first time I’ve ever noticed that the word count is actually updated at the bottom of this window. I’ve been foolishly copying and pasting into Word docs to do word counts. NEVER AGAIN!
